Product-General
Veilveil offers a diverse selection of curtains including blackout, sheer, thermal, and decorative styles to suit any home decor needs.
The curtains are not lined by default, but you can select from various lining options for your custom orders.
Please note that the finished lining length will be approximately 1.25 inches shorter than the overall length of the drapery panel, in accordance with industry standards.
If you have any specific requirements or preferences, please don't hesitate to inform us.
No, you will get only one panel if your ordered quantity is 1. Our curtains are sold in single panels, not in pairs.
Lined curtains offer extra privacy, insulation, and light control, while unlined curtains provide a more lightweight, breathable feel.
Our curtains are crafted from premium materials such as polyester, cotton, and linen, each chosen for durability and aesthetic appeal.
Product-Fabric
Linen is a natural fiber, and it is known for its relaxed, textured finish, which makes it prone to wrinkles. The fibers naturally bend under stress and require ironing or steaming to maintain a smooth appearance.
Linen is highly susceptible to shrinkage if not properly cared for. To prevent this, always wash linen curtains in cold water and dry them on a low heat setting or air dry them. Pre-washing the fabric before sewing can also reduce shrinkage.
Yes, linen fibers are sensitive to UV rays and can fade over time when exposed to direct sunlight. Consider installing a lining or using a UV-protective treatment to preserve the fabric’s color and prevent premature aging.
Cotton is a natural fiber and is prone to wrinkling due to its structure. Blending cotton with other fibers, such as polyester, can help improve wrinkle resistance. Regular steaming or light ironing is required to keep cotton curtains looking fresh.
Yes, cotton can shrink, especially when exposed to hot water. To prevent shrinking, it is best to wash cotton curtains in cold water and dry them on a low heat or line dry.
Cotton fabric can fade with prolonged exposure to sunlight. Using a fabric lining or choosing a cotton blend with UV protection can extend the life of the fabric and preserve its color.
Silk is an extremely delicate fiber that can degrade when exposed to sunlight for prolonged periods. The fabric can lose its vibrant color and even weaken. A UV protective lining is recommended to preserve the fabric.
Silk is a sensitive fabric that requires professional cleaning. Handwashing or using harsh detergents can damage the fibers. Dry cleaning is generally the safest method to maintain the fabric's texture and appearance.
Yes, silk is prone to wrinkles. It is best to iron or steam silk curtains gently using a low heat setting to smooth out creases without damaging the fabric.
Velvet’s plush texture tends to trap dust and pet hair, which can make it look messy over time. Regular vacuuming with an upholstery attachment and brushing with a soft velvet brush can help maintain its clean look.
Velvet is water-sensitive, so any stains should be treated immediately with a damp cloth. For deeper cleaning, velvet curtains should be dry cleaned to prevent water damage or distortion of the fabric.
Velvet is prone to color fading when exposed to direct sunlight. Installing a lining or choosing a blackout lining can protect the fabric from UV rays and preserve its luxurious color.
Polyester is naturally resistant to wrinkling due to its synthetic fiber structure. However, if wrinkles occur, they can usually be removed with a quick steam or light ironing.
Polyester can absorb odors if it is not cleaned regularly. To maintain freshness, wash polyester curtains regularly using mild detergent and avoid leaving them in damp conditions for extended periods.
Yes, polyester is known for its durability and resistance to wear and tear. It is less prone to fading, shrinking, or wrinkling compared to natural fibers, making it an excellent choice for long-lasting window treatments.
Sheer fabrics are designed to be lightweight and translucent, allowing natural light to filter through while maintaining privacy. This makes them ideal for spaces where you want a soft, diffused light effect.
While sheer fabrics are delicate and light in texture, they can fade if exposed to direct sunlight for long periods. Protecting them with UV-blocking treatments or adding a lining can prevent fading.
Sheer fabrics require gentle handling when cleaning. Machine washing on a delicate cycle or hand washing with mild detergent is recommended to preserve the delicate weave and appearance.
Muslin is a lightweight fabric that can shrink if not washed correctly. To prevent shrinkage, it’s recommended to wash muslin curtains in cold water and either line dry them or use a low heat setting in the dryer.
Muslin can wrinkle easily, so it is recommended to steam or lightly iron muslin curtains to remove creases and maintain their smooth, fresh appearance.
Muslin is slightly sheer, so it may not offer complete privacy unless paired with a lining or used in combination with heavier drapes. Consider using them for decorative purposes or in combination with other curtain types.
Product-Curtain Types
Heavier fabrics like velvet and thermal cotton offer excellent insulation and light control, while lighter fabrics like linen and voile create a softer look with natural light diffusion.
Privacy levels depend on fabric weight and lining. Blackout or lined curtains ensure the highest privacy, while sheer or lightweight curtains add light filtering without total privacy.
Roman shades fold neatly into horizontal pleats when raised, offering a structured, compact style. They’re typically mounted within the window frame, ideal for small spaces and a modern look.
Yes, especially if they’re lined. Thicker fabrics or thermal linings improve their insulation, making them a functional choice for regulating room temperature.
Relaxed Roman shades have a relaxed, cascading style without rigid pleats, creating a soft, draped effect. This style adds elegance and works well in formal spaces.
Yes, Relaxed Roman shades can be lined for better light control and privacy, though they are often chosen more for their visual appeal.
These shades feature a unique, fan-like pleating that serves as an eye-catching decorative accent. They add a dramatic effect, especially in more ornate interiors.
While they provide light control and privacy, they are primarily chosen for their distinctive look rather than daily functionality.
Real wood can warp in humid environments, so faux wood blinds are a better choice for bathrooms or kitchens as they resist moisture damage.
Dust regularly with a soft cloth or duster. For deeper cleaning, a lightly dampened cloth works, but avoid too much water, which can harm the wood.
Wood blinds offer a natural, warm look with unique grain patterns and are lightweight, ideal for dry areas. Faux wood blinds are moisture-resistant, making them more durable in humid spaces like kitchens or bathrooms, and are generally more budget-friendly. Both look similar, but faux wood blinds are heavier and easier to maintain.
Zebra shades alternate sheer and opaque stripes, letting you control privacy and light by aligning or offsetting the stripes. They provide flexibility for various lighting needs.
Zebra shades offer light filtering, but they don’t fully block light. For a dark room, consider layering with blackout curtains or using a blackout liner.
The cellular design traps air in “cells” or “honeycombs,” creating a thermal barrier that reduces heat transfer and improves insulation, ideal for energy savings.
Yes, they work well on large windows, though their lightweight design may not have the dramatic effect of heavier drapes.
Yes, they roll up smoothly and can be motorized for convenience. Their clean lines make them a favorite for modern, minimalist decor.
Yes, blackout roller shades are available and ideal for bedrooms or media rooms, offering complete light control.
Dream shades use double layers of sheer fabric with opaque bands, allowing a softer light diffusion. They offer a gentle, ethereal look while maintaining privacy.
They offer moderate privacy and are often used in living spaces. For greater privacy, they can be layered with heavier curtains.
Product-Cleaning & Care & Color Difference
Most standard curtains are machine washable; use a gentle cycle with cold water and avoid high heat drying. For delicate or complex designs, dry cleaning is recommended to prevent damage.
Due to different screen settings, actual fabric color may vary slightly from the online image. Lighting in your home can also affect how the color appears. Requesting a fabric swatch is recommended to confirm the color in your space.
Fabric Roman shades can typically be removed and gently hand-washed or machine-washed on a delicate cycle. If they have a lining, dry cleaning is recommended. Hang to air dry, avoiding direct sunlight.
Yes, fabric shades may show color variations depending on the fabric batch. Natural fibers like cotton or linen are particularly prone to slight shade differences. Ordering all shades for one room in the same batch can help minimize noticeable differences.
Relaxed Roman Shades often feature intricate details. Dry cleaning is the best option to preserve these features. For dusting, use a soft brush to lightly sweep the surface.
Relaxed Roman Shades are often made with natural materials, which can exhibit subtle color variations. These variations can add to the fabric’s charm but may not be suitable if you need perfectly matched shades.
Fan-shaped Roman shades are delicate; avoid soaking in water. Use a vacuum or gently pat to remove dust and maintain shape. For regular cleaning, use a soft cloth to wipe down the surface.
Fan-Shaped Roman Shades may appear differently under various lighting conditions. Since this style often uses decorative fabrics, any variation can add to the aesthetic. Always check samples under different lights to ensure it meets your preferences.
Use a slightly damp cloth to clean wooden blinds, avoiding excessive water. Wood-specific cleaners can help preserve the material. Regular monthly care is recommended.
Yes,Wooden/Faux Wooden Blinds can vary slightly in color due to the natural grain and texture of wood. Wood’s natural tone can deepen over time, especially with exposure to sunlight, which can affect its appearance.
Zebra blinds shouldn’t be washed with water. A dry cloth or vacuum is best to remove dust. For stains, lightly dab with a damp cloth, avoiding rubbing to prevent fabric damage.
Zebra Shades typically use synthetic materials that maintain consistent colors. However, color differences may occur between fabric rolls. Order enough for your space in one order to avoid color mismatch.
Cellular Shades are best cleaned with a low-powered vacuum to remove dust. Avoid soaking or pulling. Regular monthly dusting will help maintain cleanliness and shape.
Cellular Shades are generally uniform in color, but monitor settings and lighting can affect how you perceive the color. Since these shades are made of synthetic materials, they usually have good color consistency.
Roller shades are simple to clean with a damp cloth. Avoid moisture around the rolling mechanism to keep it functional. For stubborn stains, use a mild cleaner, ensuring thorough drying.
Roller Shades are made from synthetic materials, which helps keep color consistent. However, minor differences may occur based on fabric batches and lighting. Reviewing swatches is recommended for the best match.
Light Dance Blinds are often lightweight and best suited for dusting with a dry cloth or a low-powered vacuum. They are not water-safe, so regular dusting will extend their lifespan.
Dream Blinds use double-layer fabrics, which may slightly shift in color when adjusting the opacity. However, these variations are generally subtle and contribute to the shade's unique look.

Product-Motorization Blinds
Motorized blinds can be powered by plug-in adapters, hardwired connections, or batteries. Battery-powered models are ideal for areas without accessible outlets, while hardwiring is best for long-term solutions where power consistency is critical.
Battery life typically ranges from 6 months to a year based on usage. Some models offer rechargeable battery options, which may need charging every few months. Always follow the manufacturer's guidance for replacing or recharging batteries to ensure proper functionality.
Most motorized blinds come with remotes that allow control over single or grouped shades. More advanced remotes offer options for specific position settings, such as partial opening or timed adjustments.
Many motorized blinds integrate with smart home platforms like Amazon Alexa, Google Home, or Apple HomeKit, though some may require a bridge or hub for connectivity. This allows for app-based or voice-activated control, making them convenient to operate.
The typical range is between 30 to 50 feet, though this can be affected by walls or signal interference. Consider testing your remote within your space to verify functionality.
Yes, blinds with smart controls allow you to set schedules. Many apps and systems provide options for timers, creating automated routines for energy efficiency or privacy.
Some smart home systems allow you to sync blind movements with sunrise and sunset times, providing natural lighting adjustments that can help save energy and enhance comfort.
Battery-powered models are generally DIY-friendly, while hardwired blinds often require a professional for proper electrical setup. Always consult the installation guide or consider professional assistance for hardwired installations.
Regular dusting with a microfiber cloth or vacuum attachment is usually sufficient. Avoid moisture and harsh chemicals, especially on motors or electronic components. For bamboo or wood blinds, use a damp cloth sparingly to prevent warping.
Modern motorized blinds are designed with quiet motors, but a faint hum is still typical. If noise is a concern, look for models labeled “quiet” or “whisper” in the product description.
Motorized blinds are best kept indoors under stable temperature conditions. Wood and bamboo, in particular, can warp with extreme heat or cold. For outdoor blinds, select models explicitly designed to withstand environmental variations.
Resetting usually involves pressing a specific button on the motor or remote for a few seconds. Refer to the product manual for brand-specific instructions, and contact customer support if issues persist.
Check the power source—replace batteries or check electrical connections. If the blinds are still unresponsive, perform a reset. Regular inspection and ensuring the motor is not obstructed can also help maintain performance.
Yes, motorized blinds are generally cord-free, reducing the risk of entanglement. This makes them a safer choice compared to traditional corded options in homes with children or pets.
Natural materials like bamboo or linen may fade with prolonged exposure to sunlight. Consider using liners or selecting UV-resistant fabrics if the blinds are installed in a sunny area.
Since wood and bamboo are natural materials, they may have slight color variations. These variations add character but can differ slightly from sample swatches or online photos.
Real wood blinds offer a natural look and feel but are more susceptible to moisture and warping in humid areas. Faux wood blinds are moisture-resistant, durable, and typically lower maintenance, making them suitable for high-humidity spaces like bathrooms or kitchens.
