FAQs
What are No-Drill Blinds?
No-Drill Blinds are a convenient alternative to traditional blinds that require drilling holes into the window frame or wall for installation. Our blinds use tension levers, a non-invasive mounting option, to secure them in place. This can be a great option for people who want to avoid damaging their walls, especially if they're renting and need a temporary window covering solution.
How do No-Drill Blinds work?
It’s as easy as lifting the headrail, clicking the tension lever into place, and snapping your new shade on!
No-drill blinds don't require drilling into the window frame or wall. All our no-drill blinds products come standard with tension bars, or levers. The tension bar fits tightly within the window frame, and they can be adjusted to the width of the window, creating pressure that holds the blinds in place.
How do I measure for No-Drill Blinds?
When you're ordering a product with a No-Drill Blinds Headrail, getting an accurate width measurement is more important than ever due to the tension device that holds the product in place. But don't worry, it's as easy as the three simple steps below. You'll be up and running in no time!
1.Start by measuring the width across the inside of your window frame in three locations - the top, middle, and bottom of your window.
2.Compare the three measurements made in step 1 and look for variance. If the difference between the smallest and largest measurements exceeds 1/4", then the No-Drill Blinds Headrail may not fit properly in your window. If your measurements are consistent, great! Proceed to step
3. Take the measurement that you received across the top of your window, and if you got a 1/16" or 1/32" increment, round down to the nearest 1/8". (For example, if the measurement is 24 9/16", round down to 24 1/2". If it's 24 3/8", no need to round down.)
And that’s it! That’s the final width measurement you’ll use when placing your order for No-Drill Blinds. Measuring for height is the same as measuring for inside mount with a standard headrail - please see your individual product's instructions for more details.
